subjects this semester

First, the subject is English for Academic Purposes (BEL 311). Our lecturer is Mr. Izuan. This semester I create something different. I try loving to read English material such as readers digest and English novel. Furthermore often speak English with my friend at collage. I also buy English grammar and vocabulary to improve my English. I also love to hear English song, and then it will find the meaning of it. Then, I used to speak with my friend. I try to speak English with them, than it will make I speak not very well but okay lah!!!!

Second, the subject is Macroeconomics (ECO 211). I have already studied for this subject. It is quite hard because macroeconomics is about theory and calculation. I need to remember and understand all the formula. If not, I could not perform well. I already know who Mr Azim Sardan is. He is nice and sometimes makes us feel comfortable to attend her class. Hope that I will achieve my goals on this subject.

Third is Algebra (MAT263). This subject is really fun to learn. I never get bored towards this subject. It is really amazing! I already know who Miss Nurul Zulaiha Saudak is. She still nice with our class and help us to understand clearly on this subject. The assessments still move on and I hope I will get A for this subject.

Fourth, the subject is Calculus 1 (MAT149). Our lecturer is Miss Syaidatul Syaida. This subject is really tough. No wonder this subject brings 4 credit hours. From my view, many of us can perform well in the class. I must perform better in the final examination. Hopefully, I will get A for this subject.

Fifth is Probability and Statistics (QMT 200). Our lecturer is Professor Madya Ruhana. She still nice and treat us like her children. Always give us advice in our daily lives. She always calm if we do not understand about something. Sometimes, she also very kind to buy us junk food. I hope to get A for this subject.

Last is Operations Management (QMT337). Our lecturer is Madam Nosiah. This subject is easy to understand. It is the requirement to do presentation as our assessment. The presentation brings 50 percent marks.

making a career plan

To succeed you need to take control, grad the driver’s seat and go in the direction you desire. Driving off- course could translate to years of misery, stagnation and unrecoverable lost ground. As such, a well laid plan is crucial to help accomplish your goals.

3 steps: a winning career plan.

1.Know yourself.
Your career choice is one of those defining actions whose outcome largely depends on self-knowledge. Yet it’s incredible how people can drift along in occupations they hate or freeze their potentials because they aren’t bothered to find out what they really want to do. In fact poor self-awareness is a major reason for graduates who have jobs far from their major, change careers midstream. To discover what makes you tick, ask yourself; “who am I?”, “what am I good at? “And “what matters to me the most?”.

2.Study career.
You can interview persons in fields you about their typical workday. These informational interviews can open your eyes to the realities of certain professions. Graduates can take advantage of their institute counseling services, internship programs, institute-sponsored seminars and conferences on careers. Narrow your option and make a selection once you’ve got the necessary information.

3.Make a decision.
If you decided to change careers, consider taking part=time or volunteer work to see if the new professional or activity clubs to soak in the atmosphere and meet people who could get you a head start by giving you tips, referrals and guidance.

Testing waters with your toes help you gain experience without committing too much of your time and effort. If your new career choice fails to meet your expectations, you can try other options until you dream job. A career plan is a continuous activity that changes as you mature over the years. Your plan has to be flexible and adaptable as you find new oppoertunities.

my first day in uitm

You are done with high school and are now in college or university as a freshman. What do you do? Will life be chill throughout your years in this new place? Will you have 3 classrooms of friends? Will campus life be fantastically memorable? Will everything fall into place like a perfect puzzle? Well at least that’s what all of us hope for. But the truth is, if you do not play your cards right, things may backfire and your college or university life may very well be your worst nightmare.

First, I want to have a great campus life, I have to start by interacting with people. Introduce myself to my classmates during my Economics class. Be approachable by swapping e-mail addresses and hand phone numbers. It’s simple. Always remember that all my classmates are around the same age as me. However, be very alert of people who want to be friends with me. There are many characters out there who want to mix with me for their personal advantage.

A guaranteed way to meet people of similar interests is to register myself with a club. Every college has popular clubs. Joining the Performing Arts Club in my university could be ideal way for me to continue me obsession with public speaking, meet dozens of people who share me passion.

The golden principle of sustaining a good campus life is to be myself. Noting is more evident to other that when someone who is putting on a show trying to impress others or be someone he or she isn’t. Having said all of the above, campus life can be a foreboding time if me cards right. The task of making friends in this new daunting environment can be quite challenging. To make it worse, our parents always remind us to focus on our grades and worry about our social life later. But truth is, as important as our academic achievements are, college is also about experiencing our independence and being the person me really want to be.

In conclusion, being a freshman is no time to stay indoors. Of course, it does not mean that I must neglect my studies.

Do children learn more quickly than adults?

Who learns faster – children or adults?
Small children seem to learn very quickly, while adults sometimes appear to lose the ability to pick up new subject such as languages, music, games, or computer programs. Children or adults make the best learners???

It is undoubtedly true that children seem to learn very quickly. In just a few years, they can learn how to play a musical instrument, speak one or even two new language, and deal with many subjects at school. They even have time for sports and hobbies; become experts in their favorite pastimes. However, how much of this is social pressure and how much is genetic? I am convinced that while children’s brains have a natural ability to absorb new information as part of their developmental growth, much of their achievement is because of social pressure. Schools force them to take many subjects. Parents force them to practice new sports or learn music. Even their playmates force them to become better at computer games or to read Harry Potter novels faster. In summary, children may enjoy learning, but their environment also is a big motivating factor.

Adults on the other hand are supposed to be poor learners. However, I disagree with people who say that adults cannot learn quickly. Adults have many skills that compensate for the decline in the ability of the brain to grasp and remember new material. They can organize their learning by setting times for reading or practice. They can build on skills and experiences they know already. Adults usually cannot learn to do ballet or to play the violin, but even despite these physical challenges, their motivation can often be higher than a child’s. Unfortunately, society does not encourage many adults to learn. People are busy with families and work, and some adults may feel that further learning is pointless, since they have already achieved many goals at work or their personal life.

In conclusion, I feel that we cannot generalize about children or adults being better learners. It depends on the situation and motivation of the person, and the level of enthusiasm he or she has for learning.

valentine's day.

VALENTINE’S DAY or Saint Valentine’s Day is celebrated on February 14 by many people almost throughout the world these days.

In the West, it is a traditional day and a holiday, on which lovers express their love for each other by exchanging cards, flowers, sweets and confectionary. Of late, the day is most closely associated with the mutual exchange of love notes in the form of ‘Valentines’. The websites inform numerous early Christian martyrs were named Valentine. It is said that until 1969, the Catholic Church formally recognized eleven Valentine’s Days. The Valentines honored on February 14 are Valentine of Rome and Valentine of Terni.

It is also believed that no romantic elements were present in the original early medieval biographies of either of these martyrs. Later on, Saint Valentine became linked to romance in the fourteenth century, distinctions between Valentine of Rome and Valentine of Terni got lost. Yet another story informs that the day originates from the story of St. Valentine, who upon rejection by his lover was so heartbroken that he took a knife to his chest and sent her his still-beating heart as a token of his undying love for her. Hence, heart-shaped cards are now sent as a tribute to his overwhelming passion and suffering.

Modern Valentine symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged cupids. Since the 19th century, handwritten notes have largely given way to mass-produced greeting cards. It was in 1847 that Esther Howland developed a successful business in her Worcester, Massachusetts home with hand-made Valentine cards based on British models. The popularity of Valentine cards in 19th-century America was a beginning of the future commercialization of holidays in the United States and in other countries.

Many believe now that the commercialization of holidays has led to distortion in their celebrations.

Love.

Love? What is love? It is a strong feeling that you have like someone very much. There are two kinds of love: deep love and platonic love. Deep love is felt by people who are related to one another, either by blood relationship or through marriage. On the other hand, platonic love is the love that friends have for each other.

Deep love encompasses parents’ love for their children, husbands for their wives and siblings for each other. This love involves so many types of emotions that it becomes a binding force. This binding force keeps the family together in the name of family spirit.

For example, I love my mother very much. I am willing to do anything for her. Therefore, when my mother did not like my boyfriend. I decided to end the relationship. It was painful for me and my boyfriend but that is the extent of I love for my mother.

On the other example, when a married couple decides to get a divorce, they have either stopped loving each other or a third party is in the picture. If the former is the reason for the separation, then there is a chance of coaxing this couple may never resolve their differences. When this happens, the relationship becomes not only bitter but also difficult to mend.

Meanwhile, platonic love exists among friends. The love that friends have for each other, does not involve sexual emotions. However, it enables them to be with each other through thick and thin. Good friends forever: they stand by each other in moments of trouble and hardship. It is vital to know that such platonic love is possible not only among members of the same sex but also among members of the opposite sex.

10 facts about myself.

Love? What is love? It is a strong feeling that you like someone very much. I love my mother very much. I am willing to do anything for her. Therefore, when my mother did not like my boyfriend. I decided to end the relationship. It was painful for me and my boyfriend but that is the extent of I love for my mother.

I and my father do not see eye to eye on most issues. We quarrel over the choice of place to eat, type of newspapers to buy, shop to go for Mall and even type of clothes to wear for functions. We contradict each other in almost everything. I have come to the conclusion that there is a serious generation gap between my father and myself.

Sibling rivalry is especially conspicuous when children are approaching their teens. It happens when there is a small age gap between my brother and my sister. Although my siblings are merely a few years older than each other, they do not see eye on most issues that concern them. Consequently they quarrel over almost everything: ‘parents’ attention, television, clothes, books, friends and so on. While some are not even on taking terms, others end up quarrelling all the time. Parents who lose sleep over this problem need to find a solution, in order to restore harmony within the family. However, this is not always easy to achieve.

My friend now is MP4; it is because MP4 compresses music into computer friendly files. MP4 can be accessed by downloading tunes from websites or putting pre-recorded CDs into PCs which convert sounds into MP4 within minutes. Once this music is on the PCs’ hard drive, the music can be played through the computer speakers or it can be ‘burnt’ onto blank CDs.

I like jogging. Jogging is important to a person. Jogging cannot be bought with money and, therefore, it is important that everyone takes care of their health. There are several ways to ensure that a person does this. Jogging also helps your organs function better while you turn into a more efficient energy-burning machine.

To maintain my healthy lifestyle, I must first of all careful of what I eat. Our diet must include carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals and fiber. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables helps to keep us healthy, as they are a rich source of vitamins and minerals. Vitamins help to protect the body against infection, ensure growth and rejuvenation of the cells, help build healthy bones and teeth and enhance the overall well-being of a person.

Most people live such a hectic life that it adversely affects their health. But not for me. Stress affects almost everyone, even homemakers and students. A person can learn to control stress by setting realistic goals for himself. This would include getting involved in a hobby, maintaining warm relationships with both family and friends and learning to relax and appreciate nature and all its beauty and splendor.

If I do not have enough money for entertainment, go for campus-sponsored activities. I am sure there are many activities offered by my college. The same goes for recreation. Although there are recreation clubs which provide numerous facilities, make do with the ones which are available on campus.

When it comes to food, there is no need to eat out all the time. Nowadays, even RM5 is not enough to buy me a decent meal. So I might as well eat on campus. With escalating food prices, may notice that everyone seems to spend less on eating out. I think people are now more conscious about now much they spend on food.

As for making friends, mix around with people who are sincere in being friends with me, and avoid anyone who has personal agendas. Most importantly, befriend those who practice. Self-discipline in everything they do. I also believe that I should avoid peer pressure. I must take charge of my college life and not be pressured into doing things I am not comfortable with.

my roommates

Many students are obliged to share accommodation with another student while in college. Sharing may seem awkward at first, but it may prove to be a very good experience. If you have never shared with someone, you may have some difficulties adjusting. You may find that the other person is very different in character and he or she does not suit you as a companion. With person be clear and tidy? Will she eat the same food or enjoy the same music? How should you react to your roommate’s friend? And of course, there is the issue of telephone bills and shared expenses. For same people, the lack of privacy is the biggest challenge, while other may find their roommates oversensitive or distant. It is essential to try to understand each other and make living together more pleasant and even fun.

My colleges’ name is Sempana Alam Buana. My room number SAB206D. I have three roommates, Siti Nurain binti Abd Jalil, Nurul Rabi’atul Adawiyah binti Ahmad Nisfu, and Noor Wahidah binti Abdul Wahid. My first roommate is Nurul Rabi’atul Adawiyah binti Ahmad Nisfu. Her nickname is Bia. This semester, she is studying in part six. Her course is Diploma in Business Studies which is also called DBS. She is very close in each other. She also very friendly and like to help people in difficult problem.

Besides, my roommate also is Siti Nurain binti Abdul Jalil. Her nickname is Ain. She also is studying in part five in Diplomas in Accountancy. Ain and I do not see eye to eye on most issues. We quarrel over the choice of place to eat, type of newspapers to buy, shop to go for mall and even type of clothes to wear for functions. We contradict each other in almost everything. I have come to the conclusion generation gap between Ain and myself.

Then, my last roommate is Noor Wahidah binti Abdul Wahid. Her nickname is Wida. She my junior part two in Diploma Science Computer which is DCS. She is an urbane person. In the same word she is relax person and very confident in social. Then, she also very friendly at someone. She is wear spectacle and very tall person. She is also chirpy person.

I think that there is more benefit than disadvantages in having a roommate, but it depends on both dealing with concerns honestly and sensitively in order to make student like as happy as possible.

about me

When you wake up in the morning, first you look yourself. How are you? Where you came from? Then you also want everyone know about you. Now, you all also much knows about me. How me? I am chirpy girl but sometime I do not like show off at everyone. That’s why my name is Nurazlina Binti Ahmad Tamizi. I am 21 years old. I live at Pekan Pahang.

I am studying at UiTM Segamat, campus Johor in Faculty of Science Computer and Mathematics. When I get to further study at UiTM , I feel fortuitous because I am slow on the up take in English. This is because I get grade 8 in English, that I now, I much be diligent to surmount these problems. Not reason I much be daunting but being active in campus life activities will bolster my confidence. Do not look down their noses at me because I have my own special.

My family is finicky for me because I love my family. My father was an introvert. He works as a farmer to support my big family with the small wages and salary. I am very pity of him to do hard work for us. My fathers’ name is Ahmad Tamizi Bin Abdul Rahman. My mothers’ name is Salina Binti Udin. My mother is please for my effusive because she only can solace me. She very understands about my problem in university. She always supports me to study hard in my studies, and give me advice. I have seven siblings, five girls and two boys. I am the oldest child in my family.

Now, I want to expose my hobby but my hobby is very simple thing. My hobby is jogging because of this, I can loss my weight and maintain my body. Weight loss is not easy, but getting to know how my body works will help me achieve me goal and keep the weight off. Jogging also helps your organs function better while you turn into a more efficient energy-burning machine. Jogging that gets your heart rate up and sweating for at least 30 minutes, three to four times a week with strength training twice a week.

That all about me.
